1) On the N1 (you might recognise the first parts..) N1 out of town, past Paarl, through Tunnel (toll), 14 km after Tunnel turn right towards Rawsonville, follow rd for 6kms then turn right towards Rawsonville again. Head into Rawsonville at Stop St. Turn Right, follow the main rd through town and out. Follow the rd straight for ±12 km. At the end of the road (Nekkies Resort is in front of you) turn left, head over bridge towards Worcester. ±5 Kms turn right onto the R43 (towards Villiersdorp), follow the R43 for ±17 Km, turn left at Doornrivier turnoff, drive 700m, then turn Left again onto dirt rd (towards Scherpenheuwel), follow rd for 8 Kms...Welcome to Origin 2008!

2) From Worcester: This route is pretty much the same distance from Worcester, but on tar all the way except for a few hundred metres near the bridge. (good for those of you wanting to avoid gravel road)

Directions from Worcester via low water bridge: From Worcester, take the R43 (towards Villiersdorp). Drive pass Aan de Doorns cellar on your left. Just after this, turn left at the Scherpenheuwel / Eilandia sign. Stay on this road until you've crossed the low water bridge. Turn right at the T junction. Rivierplaas is ± 2km further on the right. Follow directions to the campsite.

3) Directions from N2: Take the N2 over Sir Lowry's Pass, Turn off towards Grabouw (either turnoff). Drive Through Grabouw towards Villiesdorp. Once you are in Villiersdorp drive straight through town and look for street signs pointing you towards Worcester/R43. Follow the R43 towards Worcester, look out for the Scherpenheuwel Turnoff to your right. Follow the signs.

4) Directions from Garden Route: Take the N2 west towards Swellendam. At Swellendam turn right onto the R60. Drive through Ashton and Robertson, and ultimately Worcester. You'll turn left into Worcester High Street. Keep driving until the end of the street, with Drostdy High School right in front of you. Turn left. At first robot turn right. At R43 sign turn left……. (you've got directions from here to town)

4b) Alternatively, from George, take the N2 towards Caledon. About 16km after Caledon, take the R43 turn-off towards Villiersdorp. From Villiersdorp head towards Worcester on the R43. After about 35km turn right at the Doornrivier sign. 500m futher, turn left at the Scherpenheuwel sign. Rivierplaas is 5km further on your left (at the start of the tar road).

Drive safe, please dont drive intoxicated for your and everyone else's sake. You are welcome to remain camping on Sunday night to sleep your party off ;)
